What is Semax studied for?
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of ACTH(4–10), developed in Russian neuropeptide research. Preclinical studies examine its influence on neurotrophin expression, monoamine signalling and recovery after cerebral damage.

RESEARCH CONTEXT
Semax in neuroscience research
Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from ACTH(4-10), extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro tail that stabilizes the molecule against peptidase degradation. In neurological models it is studied for BDNF and NGF expression and for dopaminergic and serotonergic signalling.
Due to their shared origin and research domain, Semax is often compared with Selank, which was developed from tuftsin. Both appear side by side in the literature on neuropeptide modulation.
Each vial contains lyophilized research-grade material with a batch-specific COA and endotoxin screening.
