NAD+ as a research molecule
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a co-enzyme present in almost every cell and central to redox reactions, mitochondrial energy production, and the activity of sirtuins and PARP enzymes. In cellular models NAD+ is used to study metabolic flux and DNA-repair pathways.
Unlike the peptides in our range, NAD+ is not an amino-acid chain but a dinucleotide. It is therefore analysed separately: purity and identity are established with HPLC and the result is documented per batch.
NAD+ is sensitive to light and heat. Store the vial lyophilized at low temperature and limit freeze–thaw cycles after reconstitution.
