Privacy Policy.
Peptica respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This policy explains which data we collect, why, and what rights you have.
This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy between this translation and the Dutch original, the Dutch version prevails.
1. Data controller
Peptica acts as data controller for the personal data processed through this website. Questions or requests can be sent to info@peptica.be.
2. What data we process
- Order data: name, delivery address, email, phone number, payment reference.
- Account data: email address and password hash (if you create an account).
- Communication: messages you send via the contact form or email.
- Newsletter: email address and subscription date, only if you subscribe.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Fulfilment of your order and delivery (performance of contract).
- Customer service and warranty handling (performance of contract).
- Accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).
- Sending newsletters (consent, withdrawable at any time via unsubscribe link).
- Security, fraud prevention and improvement of the website (legitimate interest).
4. Retention periods
Order data is kept for 7 years to comply with Belgian tax record-keeping obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are deleted within 24 months.
5. Disclosure to third parties
We only share your data with processors necessary to fulfil your order: payment provider (Shopify Payments — Visa, Mastercard, Bancontact, PayPal), carrier (DHL, bpost), e-commerce platform (Shopify) and hosting partner. These parties process data under a data processing agreement and solely according to our instructions.
6. Cookies
We use functional cookies (cart, session, age verification) and, after consent, possibly analytical cookies to measure website usage. A full overview with retention periods can be found in our cookie policy. You can adjust your preferences at any time via your browser.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to the processing of your personal data. Send your request to info@peptica.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be) or your local supervisory authority.
