RESEARCH CONTEXT
Selank as a tuftsin analogue
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide based on the immunomodulatory tuftsin fragment, likewise extended with a Pro-Gly-Pro motif. In preclinical models it is studied for GABAergic signalling, monoamine balance and the expression of neurotrophic factors.
Selank and Semax share the same stabilization strategy but differ in core sequence and therefore in receptor profile — which is why they are often included as a pair in comparative neuropeptide studies.
The peptide is supplied lyophilized; after reconstitution it has limited stability at refrigerated temperature. Each batch is HPLC-verified with an accompanying certificate.
