What is RTA studied for?

Retatrutide is a synthetic peptide studied in metabolism research as a single-molecule agonist of the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. Laboratory studies examine effects on energy expenditure, appetite signalling and glucose homeostasis in cellular and animal models.

GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptor agonism
Reduction of body weight and fat mass in preclinical models
Studies on glycemic control and insulin sensitivity
Research into lipid metabolism and hepatic steatosis

RESEARCH CONTEXT

Retatrutide as a research peptide

Retatrutide (LY3437943) is a synthetic triple-receptor agonist studied in preclinical research for simultaneous activation of the GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptors. This triple action makes it interesting for in-vitro models of energy balance, insulin signalling and fat metabolism.

We supply retatrutide as a lyophilized powder in a sealed vial. Every batch is tested by an independent laboratory for identity and purity via HPLC-UV and mass spectrometry, and screened for endotoxins with an LAL test. The corresponding Certificate of Analysis is available on this page.

Researchers often combine retatrutide in their lab stock with bacteriostatic water for reconstitution and a precision-dosing workflow. Use our peptide calculator to work out reconstitution volumes before starting a protocol.
