RESEARCH CONTEXT
Ipamorelin as a selective GHS-R agonist
Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide studied as a selective agonist of the growth-hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a). In preclinical models its selectivity stands out: GH release is stimulated with limited influence on cortisol and prolactin levels.
That selectivity makes ipamorelin a widely used reference substance in comparative research on ghrelin mimetics, where it is placed alongside CJC-1295 (a GHRH analogue) to study synergy between both axes.
The peptide is supplied lyophilized with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis, including HPLC chromatogram and endotoxin test.
